I've been working on sitting up with Gavin for months now; and I'm proud to say that he can do it all by his-self! -Well with little support. The average baby can sit up at around 5 or 6 months, while babies with down syndrome take a little longer. Gavin is now 5 1/2 months old, I'd say that's right on track for a "typical" child.
As of right now we really haven't seen any delays in any of Gavin's development. Which probably has something to do with his Mosaicism.
Gavin has also started eating solid foods.
He loves to smile and make faces.
He loves his momma! And his momma loves him too! I am so blessed to be a mom, but especially to be Gavins mom. He is the reason I got to celebrate this weekend as a mother.
He is so stinking cute Brooke. Thats awesome he is already sitting up on his own:) I can't believe he's 5 1/2 months already...time flies!
ReplyDeleteHow fun and cute!! Way to sit up gavin!!
ReplyDeleteWow that is awesome that he is sitting up already. It is sure fun to watch babies learn new things. I have loved watching Akacia, Danielle's baby, learn new things. I am sure it is ten times better when it is your own child. I love his smile, he is so darn cute.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Gavin. Wait a minute what are you doing in Italy so often? and congrats on Nathan being a traffic controller, I heard that is a hard job.
